Second pre-season game under Carrick
This is the second game of Michael Carrick's first pre-season campaign as United manager. The Red Devils lost 1-0 to Wrexham last weekend, with Sam Smith scoring the only goal six minutes before half-time in Helsinki. New signing Andrey Santos made his debut in that match.
United now head to Norway as they step up preparations ahead of their Premier League opener against Hull City next month. Rosenborg are in the middle of their league campaign and arrive after successive 3-0 wins over Kristiansund and IK Start.

Carrick's thoughts
Speaking after the Wrexham game, Michael Carrick said: "There’s loads of little positives to take from the game. I thought Andrey and Mason [Mount] did some really good things and connected really well. I could see some positives there."
He added: "[At the] top end of the pitch, just because it is a week in, those sharp little movements and bright moments that you are looking for, they come as you progress through the weeks of training. That is what it is. There were good signs from Andrey on his first one, he’s getting in the rhythm and feel of it again, so it was good to see him in a red shirt."
