Rare Titanic exhibition with £15 tickets coming to Liverpool

A limited-run Titanic exhibition opens in Liverpool this November, with tickets on sale from £15. The Titanic Explorer Exhibition runs for six weeks at the White Star Line Hotel at Albion House, from Monday, November 9 until Tuesday, December 22.

Exhibition focuses on wreck site and deep-sea exploration

The exhibition is dedicated to the Titanic wreck site, deep-sea exploration, and the secrets of the ocean floor. Visitors will encounter detailed accounts of recovering artefacts directly from the seabed and the Titanic debris field.

The experience is brought to life through the eyewitness accounts and dives of Dik Barton, the first Briton to descend to the wreck of the RMS Titanic. Barton has descended approximately 3,840 metres (12,500 feet) beneath the North Atlantic 22 times as crew of the French research submersible Nautile and Russian MIR submersibles.

Scale model and artefacts on display

The exhibition details the geography of the Titanic's wreck site using a scale model spanning the bow, stern, and debris field, while highlighting the operational challenges nearly four kilometres down, where pressure reaches 380 atmospheres in complete darkness and near-freezing temperatures.

Visitors will see Dik Barton's dive suit, expedition diary and jackets worn during previous Titanic missions, alongside pieces of coal recovered from the seabed, an authentic piece of Titanic deck wood and fragments from the Big Piece. The exhibition also explores the planning behind these expeditions, the challenges of deep-sea recovery and the delicate conservation work required to preserve objects salvaged from the ocean floor.

Standard Boarding Pass tickets are priced at £15 for adults, £10 for children (ages 5-13), £10 for seniors (60+), £10 for Blue Light Badge Holders and Veterans, and £40 for a Family Pass (2 adults / 2 children).
