Rangers Training: 15 Moments as Star Fights Back and Bromance Emerges

Rangers manager Derek McInnes landed his first win as boss on Sunday, and the mood was upbeat in training ahead of Thursday's Europa Conference League play-off against Czech side Jablonec at Ibrox. New signing Kosta Nedelijkovic was straight into the action after his loan move from Aston Villa, following the 5-1 Premier Sports Cup win over St Mirren.

Back in the Frame and a Burgeoning Bromance

Thelo Aasgaard missed the win over St Mirren due to suspension after a red card in last season's Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Celtic. The Norway international will hope to be involved against Jablonec, having been hooked at half-time against Jagiellonia Bialystok.

Aston Villa loan signing Kosta Nedelijkovic found a familiar face in his first Rangers training session with fellow Serbian Vanja Dragojevic, though they played on opposite sides of the bitter Belgrade divide before leaving their homeland.

Banter and Key Players in Training

Djeidi Gassama got to grips with Dujon Sterling as the pair enjoyed banter. John Souttar appears to be on his way out of Ibrox and has not been registered for the play-off, but he was put through his paces. James Penrice was all smiles after his man of the match display was capped by a debut goal against St Mirren.

Kosta Nedeljkovic enjoyed a laugh with new team-mates, including Djeidi Gassama and Olwethu Makhanya. Findlay Curtis injected pace when he came off the bench against the Buddies and is proving a useful weapon for McInnes after his loan spell at Kilmarnock.

Goalkeepers and Fringe Men

Ivor Pandur has looked impressive after his move from Hull City and was all smiles. Liam Kelly is understudy to the newest Rangers No.1, just as he was to Jack Butland. Connor Barron and Lyall Cameron have been waiting patiently for their chance under the new man, with competition for places in midfield intensified.

Olwethu Makhanya has looked solid in defence since his arrival from Philadelphia Union. McInnes gave his players pointers during training after getting his first win. Prior to the session, McInnes posed with new boy Kosta Nedelijkovic.

Captain and New Signing

Lawrence Shankland came off the bench against St Mirren and the skipper will hope to get back in the starting XI on Thursday. Vanja Dragojevic scored a screamer against St Mirren and will hope to dig out another against Jablonec.
