Formula 1 team Racing Bulls has revealed a surprising rebrand ahead of the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, adopting the name VCARB FC and a World Cup-inspired livery. The transformation celebrates the start of the 2026 World Cup, with football-themed activities taking over the paddock.
New Look for the Weekend
As part of the stunt, the team will wear bespoke football kits featuring regular sponsors and a special crest. The car itself boasts a World Cup-themed livery, complete with footballs on the wheel covers. Drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad have been photographed in the new shirts, designed with input from independent creatives including graphic designer Florence Burns, fashion designer Hattie Crowther, and photographer Ezra Alexander.
CEO's Statement
Team CEO Peter Bayer said: "Formula 1 and football are two global sports with incredibly passionate communities. With VCARB FC, we're celebrating that crossover. We're proud to give emerging talent the opportunity to shape campaigns like this."
Momentum from Monaco
The team aims to build on a strong performance at the Monaco Grand Prix, where Lawson and Lindblad finished fifth and sixth respectively—career-best results—earning 18 points and closing in on midfield rivals Alpine in the constructors' standings.
Driver Reactions
Lawson commented: "Monaco was a really positive weekend. We showed strong pace and came away with a result that reflected the hard work. Barcelona is a track that tests every aspect of the car, so it's a good opportunity to keep pushing forward."
Lindblad added: "It was a challenging weekend in Monaco, but we turned things around as a team. Barcelona is a fun track, and it will be special to have this one-off look to celebrate the World Cup."
