Oasis fans have complained that they are being 'rinsed' by expensive ticket packages that include hotel stays or coach travel, even when they do not need travel or accommodation to attend the gig.
Tickets went on sale for the band's mammoth tour next summer, which starts with five nights in Glasgow from May 21, 2027, before arriving at the Etihad Stadium for an 11-night residency. The Gallaghers will then head over to Europe shows in Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris, and Rome before going to the US for gigs in Boston and Las Vegas.
The band will then head to Ireland's Slane Castle for two nights, before wrapping up the tour at Knebworth for six nights. Fans hoping to get hold of tickets had to register last week. Individuals were then selected at random to receive unique codes to access one of the ticket sale windows.
Ticket sale windows open
The first round of ticket sale windows opened yesterday (Friday, September 24) at 9am, 1pm and 5pm. Ticket windows are also opening at the same time today, and tomorrow.
For the most part ticket sales have gone smoothly for fans, which is one of the reasons the ballot system was created. There were a few initial reports of 'unusual behaviour messages' on screen, but aside from that many have said they have had no issues at all.
Fans complain about packages
However, some fans have complained that the only tickets they can find are packaged with hotels and coach travel, even if they don't require it. One fan took to X to vent his frustration.
X user @barlowjacob wrote: "Oasis men of the people, heroes of mine. Trying all morning to get tickets to get countless error messages every time I had standing in my basket.
"Then see that they've packaged off first tier tickets with hotel stays for £400-500 per person, as well as packaging standing with travel to various different cities when I live 10 mins away from the ground. These tours are supposed to be for the fans, and you're just rinsing us."
He shared screen shots showing tickets on sale for June 11 and June 18 at the Etihad. The earlier date showed a seated ticket and hotel package at the Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, at £495 each. The later date showed a similar package with a stay at Indigo Victoria Station.
