Katie Taylor will end her professional boxing career in front of a sell-out crowd at Dublin's Croke Park on September 5, facing Flora Pili in her final bout. Around 80,000 spectators are expected at the famous stadium to bid farewell to the Irish boxing icon.
A Career That Transformed Women's Sport
Taylor's journey began as a young girl who had to pretend to be a boy to start boxing. She went on to transform women's sport, winning Olympic gold and then dominating the professional ranks, as well as representing her country at football.
Reflecting on her upcoming retirement, Taylor said: "This is the fairy-tale end I always wanted and I can’t believe it’s actually happening."
A Tribute to a True Legend
To celebrate her career, a souvenir tribute edition has been produced, telling the story of her rise from those early days to global stardom. The publication features interviews with Taylor herself, as well as her opponents—including the only woman to beat her in the pro ranks—and looks back at her iconic fights, such as the memorable trilogy against Amanda Serrano.
The tribute also includes perspectives from those who joined her on the journey to greatness, including coaches, her manager, and promoter Eddie Hearn.
Throughout her career, Taylor has made history, and it is fitting she will do it again in her final fight. The souvenir edition is available to order online and from retailers from August 26, 2026.
