The Tennent's Sixes indoor football tournament is returning after a 33-year absence, with all 12 Scottish Premiership clubs taking part in a legends version of the competition. The event will be held on Saturday, October 2 and 3 at Glasgow's Braehead Arena, with every match shown live on Premier Sports.
Tournament history and return
There were 10 Tennent's Sixes in total, with Rangers winning the first in 1984, staged in Falkirk, and Partick Thistle the holders after their 1993 success at Glasgow's SECC. The trophy last won by the Jags is now up for grabs again.
Rangers legend Ally McCoist has picked his ultimate Masters team as the tournament nears its return.
Format and participants
All 12 Scottish Premiership clubs are taking part, with heroes of the recent past wearing the official club kits of this season. Saturday group stages will start with three regionalised groups of four, with each group winner and runner-up progressing to the knockout stages, along with the two best third-placed teams.
To keep fans on the edge of their seats, every game will have a winner with a bonus point for a penalty shootout win in the event of a draw. The sin bin will also be making a comeback, and organisers hope it will capture the imagination of football fans and families alike.
How to watch and follow
All of the action will be shown live on Premier Sports. Fans can also keep up with all the action on dailyrecord.co.uk, which will run a live blog with all the action from Glasgow.
