Premier League transfer deadline reverts to 11pm for summer window
Premier League transfer deadline reverts to 11pm

Premier League clubs have until 11pm tonight to complete transfers, after the summer transfer window deadline was pushed back from the earlier time used in recent windows.

Deadline moved back to 11pm

In 2025, the window shut on Monday, September 1 at 7pm. This year, it will reach its conclusion at 11pm on Tuesday, September 1.

The deadline had been brought forward for the last two windows to provide a more regular working pattern for staff involved in transfers, having been agreed with the EFL, Premier League and the FA. It has now reverted to 11pm to allow more time to get deals across the line.

Grace period and European timelines

Clubs have also been given a two-hour grace period after the window closes to complete transfers if paperwork has been submitted.

In Scotland, the window will close on September 3 at 5pm, two days after the Premier League deadline. Spain will have the same deadline as England, with the Bundesliga window already closed as of 7pm on Monday, August 31. Clubs in Italy will see their window close at 8pm tonight.

Winter window dates

The window will re-open in England on January 1 until February 1, once again with the later deadline of 11pm. In Scotland, however, it will begin on January 5 and then close on February 4 at 5pm.
