Newcastle United have not made an offer for Feyenoord's £30m-rated winger Anis Hadj Moussa, according to reports, while Joe Willock's potential move to Besiktas could see the club hand millions back to Arsenal through a sell-on clause.
Hadj Moussa claim 'not true'
Recent reports from Sky Sports France claimed that Newcastle and Aston Villa had held discussions with Hadj Moussa. It was also claimed that he had decided to leave Feyenoord, rejecting interest from Al-Qadsiah and Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia, with a Premier League move his priority. Feyenoord were said to be demanding €35m (£30m) for the player.
However, Maghreb-Foot report that no offer has been made by Newcastle. The player's agent, Mohamed Dahmane, insists his client will still leave the Eredivisie side this summer. He said: "Anis Hadj Moussa will play for another team, God willing."
Joe Willock transfer exit latest
Willock has been the subject of bids from Turkish club Besiktas, with a £10m offer rejected by Newcastle earlier this month. The former Arsenal midfielder is in the final 12 months of his contract, and Newcastle are looking to cash in.
But Newcastle would lose millions on the deal due to a sell-on clause in his contract, reported to be around 20%. Willock has made 168 appearances for Newcastle, scoring 11 goals since leaving Arsenal.
Marseille owners 'left furious'
Newcastle are exploring other options after a move for Marseille midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg broke down on Monday. The Denmark international had been identified as a target for new boss Matthias Jaissle, and initial talks went well.
However, the Daily Mail claim he changed his mind over the deal, and Marseille's owners have been left furious by the change of heart. The French club were keen to raise funds for their own summer spending and had provisionally agreed to sell the Dane to Newcastle before the move fell through.
