Players coming in
Jeremy Jacquet (£60m from Rennes) – The deal, worth £55m plus add-ons, was agreed in early February, but Jacquet suffered a season-ending shoulder injury. The 21-year-old hasn't played in English football, but his reputation and centre-back position, where Liverpool are short, make this a sensible signing.
Victor Munoz (£34.5m from Osasuna) – Munoz was already out with a muscle problem that kept him out of Spain's World Cup opener. His speed and ability on either flank suggest he's a much-needed purchase for a forward line lacking pace.
Ifeanyi Ndukwe (£2.6m from Austria Vienna) – The 18-year-old centre-back impressed in the Under-17 World Cup. His US tour performances and Liverpool's defensive issues hinted at first-team minutes, but visa issues mean a loan spell awaits.

Mohamed Salah (free) – Losing the third-highest scorer in club history for nothing seems a misstep, but given his performances last season and vast salary, a parting was for the best, even before considering his disruptive influence.
Andy Robertson (free) – Liverpool wanted Robertson to stay for his experience, but he sought more minutes and joined Tottenham Hotspur on a free. He'll be missed.
Ibrahima Konate (free) – Konate indicated he'd sign a new contract in April, but it didn't happen, and he joined Real Madrid for free. His departure leaves a hole in defence.
Luca Stephenson (£700,000 to Bolton Wanderers) – After impressing on loan at Dundee United, Stephenson needed first-team football. A move to Bolton is ideal for the 22-year-old right-back.
Rhys Williams (free) – Williams hadn't featured in five years and had mixed loan spells. Now 25, he departs for a fresh start.
James Balagizi (free) – The 22-year-old midfielder had several loans and made the matchday squad as far back as January 2022. He was released this summer.
