Liverpool are set for a hectic end to the summer transfer window, with up to six deals potentially completed in the next 24 hours as Andoni Iraola fine-tunes his squad ahead of Tuesday's deadline.
The Reds had a relatively quiet period until last week, when negotiations on several fronts emerged. On Monday, they announced their biggest signing of the window, with Bradley Barcola officially arriving at Anfield in a deal worth around £123million. However, he is not expected to be the last player to join before the window closes.
Winger pursuit continues
Liverpool remain in the market for another winger, with Ismaila Sarr high on their list of attacking targets. The marquee deal on deadline day would be completing the signing of Sarr, who remains eager to leave Crystal Palace. Talks are still believed to be ongoing, with a full agreement yet to be reached, meaning the proposed move could go right down to the wire.
If talks fall through, Liverpool could pursue a late swoop for Stuttgart forward Jamie Leweling, reportedly among the other names under consideration. However, they will not be the only club in the race, with Sky Sports Germany reporting that Everton and Roma are also keen.
Future recruits lined up
Alongside efforts to strengthen the first-team squad, Liverpool have been negotiating moves for two young players with huge potential. They have agreed a £30m package to sign teenage goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans, who is six feet and seven inches tall, from Belgian side Genk. They are also finalising a move for Saint-Etienne striker Djylian N'Guessan, having reportedly booked a medical for the 18-year-old.
Both players are expected to join the Reds squad in the summer of 2027, although Brughmans could arrive sooner if Giorgi Mamardashvili leaves before the deadline.
Several exits possible
A number of players could still leave Anfield before the window slams shut, though Cody Gakpo won't be among them. He was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City, but Liverpool opted to keep the Dutchman despite receiving an £80m bid.
James McConnell looks set to join Championship side Preston North End on loan, while the future of Federico Chiesa could also be a topic of discussion in the final hours of the window. The experienced Italian has been tipped to leave Liverpool throughout the summer, but nothing appears to be imminent at this stage. It remains to be seen whether any late offers will be submitted as the deadline approaches.
