Ian Doyle argues that while Barcola has sufficient experience at the highest level, Liverpool cannot allow themselves to fall in line with an inflated market. He suggests £100m would be more than enough, noting that PSG are asking for too much and that other players are available.
Mark Jones highlights that Barcola appears committed to a Liverpool move, unlike Diomande, and that this should add value. However, he cautions that if the price goes much beyond the £125m paid for Alexander Isak, the Reds should reconsider.
