Leeds United's Jack Harrison Flies to Italy for Fiorentina Loan Move
Jack Harrison set for Serie A loan move to Fiorentina

Leeds United attacker Jack Harrison is today embarking on a flight to Italy to put the finishing touches on a significant loan transfer to Serie A club Fiorentina.

Deal Details and Fiorentina's Option

The two clubs have finalised an agreement that will see the 29-year-old Englishman spend the remainder of the current campaign in Florence. A crucial element of the deal is an option for Fiorentina to purchase Harrison permanently when the loan spell concludes. This provides the Italian side with flexibility based on his performances during his stay.

Harrison's Search for Minutes

The move comes after a season where Harrison has found opportunities limited at Elland Road. Under manager Daniel Farke, he has been restricted to just a single Premier League start this term, with his prospects of breaking into the regular starting eleven appearing slim. Harrison originally joined Leeds in the 2018-19 season but spent the previous two campaigns on loan at Everton.

Fiorentina's Current Struggles

Despite their considerable history and prestige in Italian football, Fiorentina have endured a troubled season. Although their form has picked up somewhat recently, the Viola remain dangerously positioned in the Serie A relegation zone, currently three points from safety. They will be hoping Harrison's arrival can provide a creative spark to aid their survival bid.

The winger is not the only player with Leeds connections to join Fiorentina this January. Manor Solomon, who was on loan at Leeds last season, has already moved to the club and featured in their 1-1 draw with AC Milan last weekend.
