Tyson Fury doesn't care where his fight with Anthony Joshua is held, according to his former cutman. Fury and Joshua agreed to fight in the UK later this year, but Netflix and the fight's Saudi Arabian backers want to move it to Madison Square Garden in New York. Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn are fighting to keep the all-British showdown in the UK, but Jorge Capetillo believes Fury will go anywhere.
Fury's Simple Attitude
"He just wants to fight," Capetillo told Hard Rock Bet. "He'll fight anywhere, America, England, Thailand, it doesn't matter to him. As long as the fight happens, he's happy. He's a true prizefighter. The discussions about networks and promotion are for other people. Tyson's attitude is simple: he'll fight anywhere."
Capetillo's Preference
"I think it should be in America. The timing works better, and so does the weather. It gets cold during the winter in England, and if you're trying to cater to an American audience, that becomes an issue."
"The fight is going to sell anywhere in the world, but venues like Madison Square Garden or Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas would be incredible. There are plenty of places where it could happen, and wherever it takes place, it will be one of the greatest nights in heavyweight boxing history."
Fury's Recent Form
Fury warmed up for his clash with Joshua by stopping veteran Mariusz Wach last month, 24 hours before Joshua recovered from an early knockdown to stop Kristian Prenga.
