Enzo Fernandez has released an emotional statement saying he has not been in a good place ahead of his £125m move from Chelsea to Manchester City. The Argentinian international is in Manchester for a medical ahead of a reunion with Enzo Maresca at the Etihad Stadium.

Fernandez's future at Stamford Bridge has been uncertain all summer, having expressed a desire to live in Madrid earlier this year. However, Real Madrid released a statement denying any interest in the 25-year-old, with Man City lying in wait.
It has taken until deadline day for City to act on their interest, agreeing a big-money move for the combative midfielder, who has thanked Chelsea fans for the support during his time at the club.
