Manchester United may need to act swiftly if they are to sign Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, with Manchester City reportedly opening talks over a move for the Italian international. Donnarumma is in the final year of his contract at PSG, who are looking to move him on after signing Lucas Chevalier.
City have already added James Trafford this summer, but with Ederson linked to Galatasaray, they are exploring a deal for Donnarumma. However, City are unwilling to meet PSG's £40m asking price, though the Ligue 1 champions could be persuaded to lower the fee given Donnarumma's significant salary, according to Football Italia.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are also facing issues in offloading Jadon Sancho. Reports in Italy claim that the commission demands of Sancho's agents have stalled a potential loan move to Roma. The Serie A side have an agreement in principle with United and are willing to match Sancho's wage demands, but the player's representatives are reportedly more attracted by offers from Besiktas and Saudi Arabia. Roma are relying on Sancho to bring his agents 'back to their senses'.
Elsewhere, West Brom boss Ryan Mason has praised Manchester United loanee Toby Collyer, saying the midfielder has 'loads of room to develop'. Mason revealed he had wanted Collyer for weeks and expects the youngster to improve significantly through game time this season.
