Despite starting against Sunderland in April, he was reduced to brief appearances from the bench thereafter. The midfielder believes other players are clearly ahead of him in the pecking order and sees no clear path into De Zerbi's first-choice plans.

Standard Sport understands that Bergvall will consider proposals from clubs across Europe that can offer him regular starts as a No8.
