Arsenal are monitoring Newcastle United's Tino Livramento ahead of the summer transfer window, with the Magpies reportedly valuing the defender at around £60 million. The 23-year-old has two years remaining on his contract, and talks over an extension have yet to materialise, according to reports.
The Gunners are assessing several potential targets for the right-back position, where Jurrien Timber is currently first choice. Ben White, who also has two years left on his deal, could be sold to raise funds, potentially opening up a spot for Livramento as a replacement.
Newcastle are keen to retain the England international, but his reluctance to commit to a new deal could force a sale. Livramento joined the club from Southampton for £32 million and has been a key figure under Eddie Howe.
Arsenal have also expressed interest in Livramento's Newcastle teammates Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon. The trio featured in Tuesday's 1-1 Champions League draw with Barcelona, a result Howe described as 'tough to take' after conceding a late equaliser.
Howe praised his side's performance, saying: 'We showed our qualities. The tie is very much alive. We've shown we can play against the very best.' The second leg takes place next week in Spain.
