Arsenal are reportedly leading the race to sign Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres, with the Gunners expected to pay around £60m for the Sweden international. Mikel Arteta is said to have set a deadline to complete the deal as he looks to bolster his attacking options following an underwhelming campaign.
The Gunners are also considering a formal offer for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, who has reportedly agreed personal terms with the north London club. Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, however, insists the winger remains focused and could still feature for the Blues, saying, "We had the same noise before Palmeiras, but we gave him half an hour, and he was very good. I have no doubt if we need Noni, he can help us."
Manchester United, meanwhile, are reportedly making a move for former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin after the 28-year-old left the Toffees on a free transfer. United have already seen two bids for Bryan Mbeumo rejected this summer as they look to strengthen their squad.
Elsewhere, Chelsea have completed a £60m move for Brighton forward Joao Pedro, who revealed he took a personal trainer on holiday to Rio in anticipation of interest. Pedro said, "I was in Rio, but I had a personal trainer with me. I trained as well, so I was ready."
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the full coaching staff under new head coach Thomas Frank, while Leeds are reportedly pushing to sign Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff. Arsenal are also said to be monitoring Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze but are wary of Profit and Sustainability Regulations.
