The men's semi-finals take centre stage at Wimbledon on Day 12, with Arthur Fery aiming to make history as the first British finalist at the All England Club in a decade. The 23-year-old wildcard entry opens play on Centre Court against second seed Alexander Zverev, following a stunning straight-sets victory over ninth seed Flavio Cobolli in the quarter-finals. Fery had previously defeated Cobolli at the Australian Open, marking his first major upset.
Fery's Historic Run
Fery is the second wildcard to reach the semi-finals at Wimbledon, after Goran Ivanisevic in 2001. The Croat went on to win the title, defeating Pat Rafter in the final after overcoming Greg Rusedski and Tim Henman. A decade after Sir Andy Murray's second Wimbledon triumph in 2016, Fery hopes to end the home drought. He faces Zverev, the French Open champion, who advanced after a three-set win over Taylor Fritz on Court No. 1.
Djokovic vs Sinner: Past and Present Collide
Following Fery's match, Novak Djokovic, seeking a record 25th Grand Slam title, takes on world No. 1 Jannik Sinner. Djokovic is the defending champion after defeating Carlos Alcaraz last year to claim his maiden grass-court crown. Alcaraz missed this year's tournament due to injury, opening the draw and forcing Sinner and Djokovic to meet before Sunday's final.
