Venus Williams has married actor and model Andrea Preti in Palm Beach, Florida, the tennis star confirmed on Tuesday via social media. The couple celebrated with a five-day event attended by family and close friends, following a non-official ceremony earlier this year in Italy.
Williams, 45, a seven-time Grand Slam champion, met Preti during Milan Fashion Week in 2024. The pair became engaged in January 2025. Preti, who is Danish-born and Italian, is an actor and model, according to IMDb.
The wedding comes as Williams continues her long tennis career. She returned to competition in July at the DC Open after a 16-month hiatus, where she became the second oldest woman in the Open era to win a tour-level singles match. She plans to play a 33rd consecutive WTA season starting in Auckland in January.
Beyond tennis, Williams remains a prominent figure in fashion and culture. Earlier this month, it was announced she will co-chair the 2026 Met Gala alongside Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
Williams has not indicated any changes to her competitive schedule following the marriage.
