US Open Broadcasters Told Not to Show Booing of Trump at Men's Final

US Open broadcasters have been instructed not to air any negative crowd reactions to Donald Trump during Sunday's men's final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. The former president is expected to attend the match at Flushing Meadows, with security heightened in preparation.

Trump, a former regular at the tournament, has not attended since 2015, when he was booed by spectators. An email from organisers states that Trump will be shown on screen during the national anthem and asks broadcasters to refrain from showing any disruptions or reactions to his attendance.

His presence threatens to divert attention from the final, which marks the third consecutive grand slam meeting between Alcaraz and Sinner. Alcaraz, however, welcomed Trump's attendance, calling it a privilege for tennis and saying he would try not to focus on it.
