Newcastle United have seen three of their Premier League fixtures rescheduled following a fresh round of television picks by broadcasters, the club has confirmed. The changes include a highly anticipated trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where the Magpies will face Sandro Tonali for the first time since his £100 million move to Spurs.
Tottenham Clash Moved to Primetime Slot
The match against Tottenham, originally scheduled for Saturday 29 August at 3pm BST, will now kick off at 5:30pm BST and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports. This fixture is Newcastle's first away game of the 2026/27 league campaign and has drawn significant attention from TV chiefs due to the Tonali storyline.
Bournemouth and Leeds Games Also Rescheduled
The home clash with AFC Bournemouth on Saturday 5 September has been moved from 3pm BST to a 12:30pm BST kick-off, with TNT Sports covering the match. This game sees Eddie Howe face his former club at St James' Park in what could be a crucial early-season encounter.
Newcastle's trip to Elland Road to face Leeds United, originally set for Saturday 12 September, has been provisionally moved to Monday 14 September with an 8pm BST kick-off, live on Sky Sports. However, the Premier League has stated that this match could revert to Saturday 12 September at 12:30pm BST if either club reaches the Carabao Cup third round and is scheduled to play against a team participating in the UEFA Champions League.
Official Statements
A Premier League statement on the Leeds fixture read: "This match will revert to Saturday 12 September, 12.30pm live on Sky Sports should either club reach the EFL Cup 3rd Round and be scheduled to play against a club participating in the Champions League."
Newcastle United's own statement explained the changes in full, confirming the new kick-off times and broadcast details for all three matches. The club noted that fans should stay updated on the Leeds fixture as it remains subject to change depending on cup commitments.
