Morgan Rogers has insisted that the 'noise' about a potential move to Arsenal will not impact him during the World Cup. The 23-year-old Aston Villa midfielder is expected to attract significant interest this summer, with reports suggesting Villa could reluctantly sell him to ease their financial situation.
Arsenal's interest in Rogers
Arsenal are keen admirers of Rogers and are monitoring his situation, though they are aware that any deal would require a fee in the region of £100 million. Rogers is currently part of England's World Cup squad and has the opportunity to enhance his reputation on football's biggest stage over the next six weeks.
Rogers on the speculation
Despite the ongoing speculation, Rogers remains focused. Speaking on the Rest is Football podcast, he said: 'I think the first time it ever happened it was. You're in an uncomfortable spot of not realising that people have so much interest in you and you're not quite realising that. But as you get older and gain experience along the way, you know that comes with it and 95 per cent of it is just noise.'
'You hear it, course you do. You can't help not [hearing it]. You know it's there but you've got to use it in a positive way. You just try and get on with your game and just focus.'
Rogers under Tuchel
Thomas Tuchel has placed significant trust in Rogers since taking charge, with the Aston Villa star featuring in 12 of England's 13 matches under the German. Tuchel has also made it clear that Jude Bellingham is not guaranteed to start and faces competition from Rogers for the No.10 role.
Playing alongside Bellingham
When asked about the battle with Bellingham, Rogers suggested they can play together. 'I think we can definitely play together. I'd love to play together. I want to play with England's best players. He's right at the front of that and someone that I've always wanted to play with from a very young age, and that's no different now.'
