Man Utd confirm Sancho and five others to leave

Manchester United have officially confirmed that Jadon Sancho and five other players will depart the club this month following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season. The club released its retained list, revealing the six players whose contracts will expire this summer.

Jadon Sancho's Departure

Sancho, 26, joined Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for a fee of £73 million. During his time at Old Trafford, he made 83 appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists. His final appearance for the Reds came in the 2024 Community Shield, where he came on as a second-half substitute against Manchester City.

Other Players Leaving

Joining Sancho in leaving the club are Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, Sonny Aljofree, James Bailey, and Malachi Sharpe. Casemiro had already confirmed his exit in January and finished the season strongly under manager Michael Carrick, helping the team secure a return to the Champions League. The Brazilian joined United from Real Madrid in 2022, making over 150 appearances and winning the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, becoming a cult hero at the club.
