The £123 million acquisition of Bradley Barcola was the club's second-biggest signing in history, yet fans expected more given the exits of Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, and Ibrahima Konate.
Spain international Victor Munoz arrived early as Iraola's first official signing, while Jeremy Jacquet joined after his £55 million transfer was agreed in January. Despite being linked to numerous stars, Liverpool failed to address deficiencies in certain squad areas.
Missed Targets and Their Early Seasons
Yan Diomande was an early target before joining Real Madrid. Liverpool's £85 million offer was rejected by RB Leipzig, and the Reds cooled interest after he prioritized Spain. Diomande has failed to score in eight games across all competitions, with just one assist.
Ismaila Sarr emerged as an alternative after the Diomande failure. Liverpool's £50 million bid for the Crystal Palace star was swiftly rejected, and despite Sarr's attempts to push through a move, no second bid came. He made his season debut against Lech Poznan in the Europa League and had an eight-minute cameo in Palace's 0-0 draw with Leeds.
Yankuba Minteh saw two bids rejected by Brighton in August. The 22-year-old has yet to feature this season after a leg injury in a pre-season friendly against Roma, with a return expected in November.

Adam Wharton remains at Crystal Palace despite rumours of a move to Anfield. He has been ever-present for new boss Pierre Sage, with Palace sitting 15th after one win in five games.
Wingers and Forwards
Rayan, a Brazil international, joined Bournemouth in January and scored five goals in 15 games. This season, he has yet to score or assist in the Cherries' first five league games, though he scored in their 2-1 Europa League win at Real Sociedad.
Alex Scott, valued at £100 million by Bournemouth, attracted interest from Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea. He has remained a key part of the squad under Marco Rose, but the club have gone their first five games without a win.
Fikayo Tomori was linked with a Premier League return after Ruben Amorim deemed him surplus to requirements at AC Milan. Left out of the squad for the first two games, he was reinstated after Mattia Gabbia's injury but has yet to play this season.
