Dunfermline Athletic have secured the signing of Hamilton Accies striker Oli Shaw on a three-year contract, with the move reuniting the League One player of the year with his former Hibernian manager Neil Lennon.
Reunion with Lennon
Shaw, 28, came through the youth ranks at Easter Road and saw his senior career take off when Lennon handed him regular first-team football during the 2017/18 season. Now Lennon has brought him to East End Park as he strengthens his squad for a Championship title challenge.
Financial impact for Hamilton
Shaw was among the highest earners at New Douglas Park, and his departure will help the crisis club ease some of their financial worries. The wage bill is set to be halved for the coming season. Accies have also secured a sizeable fee for their prize asset, who had a year left on his deal.
Impressive form
Shaw scored 27 goals in 46 games across all competitions for Accies last season, helping them avoid relegation in the League One play-off final win over Clyde in May. He was named PFA Scotland League One player of the year for his performances.
The striker has signed a three-year deal at Dunfermline as Lennon builds a side capable of challenging for promotion to the Scottish Premiership.
