Tartan Army Faces 'Special Kind of Torture' Over World Cup Fate
Tartan Army in Limbo After Brazil Defeat

Scotland fans are enduring a "special kind of torture" as the nation remains in limbo over whether they have qualified for the next round of the World Cup. Following a devastating 3-0 defeat to Brazil on Wednesday, supporters are left waiting for other results to determine their fate.

Fan Reactions from Miami

Chris Findlay, 66, who traveled from Edinburgh to Miami, described the uncertainty. "It's a special kind of torture. We have to watch one game after another, hoping for an unlikely result. It's better than being completely out. There's still a chance, and we just have to keep our fingers crossed," he said.

Gordon McBarin, 65, from Prestwick, expressed a desire for a swift resolution. "I was thinking, just get it over with. We've got places booked in Boston in case we get Germany, but we're not going to Mexico. Although last night was actually the best we'd played," he added.

Logistical Challenges for Supporters

John Linstead, 72, highlighted the logistical difficulties. "We came down from Boston, and we have a beautiful hotel here in Miami. We're leaving Saturday morning, but we left an open book for where to go next. It could be Mexico, New Jersey, New York, or Houston. We're just in limbo. We want to know before we cancel flights and book rooms. We want to stay and see Scotland go all the way. That's why I brought my son here. This is my third World Cup, and I've never seen Scotland advance to the third round. Hopefully this time it will work for us," he said.
