Benjamin Sesko is a doubt for Manchester United's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, with Michael Carrick facing up to 11 injury concerns ahead of the match at Old Trafford.
United resume their domestic campaign after the international break, having drawn with Fulham in their last outing. Tottenham sit bottom of the Premier League without a win, leaving both sides desperate for three points.
Sesko and Rashford doubts
Sesko did not travel to Fulham and later withdrew from the Slovenia squad after a flare-up of the shin injury that has troubled him since May. He was not spotted in the behind-closed-doors friendly against Lausanne-Sport, making him a doubt for the weekend.
Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo also withdrew from international duty with unknown injury issues. Neither is thought to be too serious, and both could feature against Spurs.
De Ligt and Baleba updates
Carlos Baleba has yet to make his debut since his summer move from Brighton, having suffered an ankle injury in pre-season. He was fit enough for the bench at Fulham and has since played his first minutes for United in the friendly against Lausanne-Sport, with an expected appearance against Spurs.
Matthijs de Ligt has been missing for 10 months with a back injury and underwent surgery in May. He travelled with the squad for the Fulham clash but was not with teammates at Craven Cottage, which was always the plan. He is expected to be among the substitutes in the upcoming Champions League games against Atletico Madrid or Como.
Further concerns from international duty
Patrick Dorgu appeared to pick up a hamstring injury during Denmark's clash with Wales and is being assessed at Carrington. Noussair Mazraoui was forced off against Lesotho, with both full-backs doubts for the weekend.
Manuel Ugarte remains a long-term absentee after a serious knee injury at the World Cup, with no return expected until 2027. In goal, Karl Darlow withdrew from Wales' squad after making his debut in the Carabao Cup, while third-choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton continues to struggle with a hamstring issue picked up in the pre-season draw with Paris Saint-Germain.
