Scotland begin the second phase of the Nations Championship with a home match against New Zealand at Murrayfield on Saturday, November 7. The All Blacks have never lost to Scotland, winning 31 of their 33 meetings since the first in 1905, with two draws.
Their most recent encounter, in November 2025, saw Scotland mount an unlikely comeback before falling just short in a 25-17 defeat. The match will be played in emotional circumstances, with the All Blacks announcing the sudden death of their head of security earlier in the week.
Kick-off time and how to watch
The game kicks off at 2.10pm at Murrayfield, Edinburgh. It will be shown live and for free on ITV1 and STV in Scotland, with coverage starting at 1.40pm. Fans can also stream the match via ITV's app ITVX and on STV Player.
Coaches' views
Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend said experience will help his team get over the line this time around. He said: "A lot of people in sport know the All Blacks is the iconic rugby team. But our players have played against them, so that will help."
He added: "It helps again that we will play at Murrayfield. The atmospheres in this game in recent years have been amazing." Townsend also noted that the way the two teams play "sets it up for open rugby", and that Scottish supporters appreciate when the All Blacks come and how Scotland play against them.
On New Zealand, Townsend said: "They're playing some excellent rugby right now and it's our first game of the season, which is always the toughest challenge for us too." He described the current New Zealand side as "much more ambitious" and "informed" and "cohesive", adding: "We're going to have to find ways to win, find ways to stay in the fight because they'll have a lot of possession too."
Mike Blair said: "We're in a good place, I think. We're pleased with what we did against Australia but we're also aware that playing Scotland at Murrayfield is a really big challenge. It's another good opportunity to show the growth in our game."
