The Prince of Wales has admitted he has faced 'non-stop grief' since Wales lost to England in the Six Nations. The 40-year-old royal, a devoted Wales rugby fan, watched the 20-10 defeat at the Principality Stadium on Saturday alongside his wife, the Princess of Wales, who was supporting the English side.
During a visit to the Brynawel Rehabilitation Centre near Pontyclun on Tuesday, the Prince was repeatedly asked about the match. When asked if he enjoyed the game, he joked: 'Not really.' He later told volunteers: 'I've had non-stop grief about it all weekend.'
The Prince has been patron of the Welsh Rugby Union since 2016, while the Princess of Wales became patron of the Rugby Football Union and Rugby Football League a year ago, taking over from the Duke of Sussex. The defeat marked Wales' third consecutive loss in the Six Nations under head coach Warren Gatland.
Wales now face Italy in Rome in what is likely to be a wooden spoon decider, with the loser finishing bottom of the tournament standings. The Prince's comments come as Wales look to avoid a fourth straight defeat.
