The 2026/27 Premier League season gets underway on Friday, August 21, with a blockbuster opening weekend featuring all 20 clubs from August 21 to August 24. The campaign arrives with a new-look managerial landscape at several of the division's biggest clubs. Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea will all be led by new faces, with Andoni Iraola, Enzo Maresca and Xabi Alonso taking charge respectively, and all three sides face stern early tests.

Title holders Arsenal get the season under way when they host Championship winners Coventry City on Friday evening, while newly-promoted Hull City face a baptism of fire when they welcome Manchester City in one of the weekend's most eye-catching clashes.

How to Watch on TV
Sky Sports remains the home of Premier League football in the UK, with at least 215 games set to air live and exclusively throughout the season. Sky has already confirmed it will broadcast six fixtures across the opening weekend, including Arsenal vs Coventry City, Manchester City vs Bournemouth and Newcastle United vs Liverpool.
To watch these games and the many others on Sky throughout the season, fans will need a Sky Sports subscription. This is included as part of select Sky packages, such as the £44 Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle, which also comes with free subscriptions to Netflix, HBO Max and Disney+. TNT usually has the broadcast rights to one fixture each gameweek, with Hull vs Man United the first to be shown next season.
