Conor McGregor Vows Return After Injury in Three Words

Conor McGregor has issued a three-word update on his fighting future after his injury-plagued return to the UFC lasted just 69 seconds. The Irishman, who turned 38 on Tuesday, vowed "We'll be back" in a social media video posted alongside his wife Dee Devlin, tasting his new range of energy drinks.

Injury Details and Surgery

McGregor's comeback fight at UFC 329 against Max Holloway ended abruptly when his knee gave way as he threw his first kick. He now faces a significant spell on the sidelines after confirming he will require surgery. In a separate social media post, McGregor outlined his recovery plan: "Surgery. Prehab. Return to martial arts practice. Go again. Final fight of the contract. Please God!"

One Fight Left on UFC Deal

McGregor has only one fight left on his current UFC contract, which is contracted to take place by April – if he is fit enough. The former two-division champion expressed his determination to return, stating: "My faith is unconditional and I am thankful I get to prove it! My lifestyle changes are permanent."

Emotional Message to Fans

In a lengthy post, McGregor shared a deeply religious message, saying: "I am a child of God. I am a friend of God. God makes a way for me where there seems to be no way. I am not a victim of my circumstances, I overcome them." He added: "I walk in divine health. I live under supernatural protection. All things work out for my good!"

McGregor's wife Dee Devlin had earlier broken her silence after the injury, and the fighter was also slammed by a rival who said the injury "couldn't happen to a better guy."
