Andy Farrell's British and Irish Lions squad has received a significant boost with 15 players joining the camp in Dublin on Monday, leaving just one player yet to report. The squad have been training in Portugal with depleted numbers due to club finals, but the arrival of a dozen Leinster players and two from Bath brings the group closer to full strength ahead of Friday's warm-up match against Argentina.
Among the new arrivals are 12 Leinster players who featured in Saturday's United Rugby Championship final victory over the Bulls: Jack Conan, Tadhg Furlong, Ronan Kelleher, Joe McCarthy, Andrew Porter, James Ryan, Dan Sheehan, Josh van der Flier, Jamison Gibson-Park, Hugo Keenan, James Lowe and Garry Ringrose. Bath duo Finn Russell and Will Stuart also join after their Gallagher Premiership final win over Leicester Tigers.
England duo Jamie George and Asher Opoku-Fordjour, who were not originally selected for the tour, were called in to help cover training gaps in Portugal. They will train with the Lions on Monday before returning to their clubs as the squad numbers swell.
The only absentee is Scotland's Blair Kinghorn, who remains on Top 14 duty with Toulouse. Farrell's side will face Argentina in Dublin on Friday before travelling to Australia for a three-Test series.
