From University Hobby to Athletic Advocacy
Broome's journey into content creation began during her university days, where she sought to document the dual life of a full-time student and elite athlete. "I wanted to show what life was like," she explained, noting that it started with photography to capture behind-the-scenes moments from her travels to competitions worldwide. This initiative has since evolved into a significant aspect of her career, especially in an era dominated by platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
"Social media and content creation is a big part of being an athlete now," Broome emphasised. "That seems to be the best way that sports get the exposure that they need." She regularly films and photographs her training and competitive experiences, offering fans an intimate look into the world of para powerlifting beyond just the lifts and medals.
A Driven Competitor with a Golden Ambition
With a decorated career that includes two Paralympic bronze medals from Tokyo and Paris, Broome brings a wealth of experience to her Commonwealth campaign. Reflecting on her growth since Birmingham, she stated, "I am a very different athlete to back then. The way that I work now is very different and I have a different mindset going into these Games than I did four years ago."
Her preparation has intensified, shifting from a more passive approach to one of focused determination. "Now, I look to progress what I am doing in sessions. I am fully focussed and fully present," she added, highlighting how major events have taught her to refine her processes and mental resilience.

"I never say I am guaranteed a medal, you never know what happens," she admitted, though the thought of standing on the podium motivates her daily. "If it is the case that I step on that podium and hear that anthem, I think it will probably be one of the greatest days."
