Newsboy's Tuesday Tips: Salisbury NAP Harry Knows, NB Addison Grey

Newsboy's NAP for Tuesday's five meetings is HARRY KNOWS (3.07), who can turn the experience gained from a narrow last time out defeat to his advantage back at Salisbury. The Richard Hughes-trained youngster takes on three previous winners but gets a weight pull as a maiden.

Harry Knows: Close But No Cigar

The gelding has been beaten by a head in two out of three starts, including last time out over course and distance. He moved to the front at the 2f pole but just got run out of it in the final strides by newcomer Flying Pirate. The soft going that day may have sapped his stamina in the closing stages, and he should be more at home on the likely sound surface.

According to Newsboy, Harry Knows has the experience to go one better and get off the mark for the year.

Addison Grey: NB Selection

In the next race, ADDISON GREY (3.37, NB), who like Harry Knows was a beaten favourite last time, can get off the mark for the year. A winner over this year’s Wokingham favourite Binhareer at two, he has continued to show up well in sprint handicaps, finishing second at Newbury and Newmarket, latterly behind Double Rush, who won the Wokingham.

Last time out back at Newbury, he had to delay his challenge and needed to be switched to get a run, but was running on at the finish.

Salisbury Card Overview

Salisbury features a seven-race card on Tuesday. Newsboy's tips focus on two last time out beaten favourites seeking redemption. The going is expected to be sound, which should suit both selections.
