F1 2026 Grid Confirmed: Hadjar Joins Red Bull, Cadillac Debuts
F1 2026 driver line-up confirmed with major changes

The starting grid for the 2026 Formula 1 World Championship has been finalised, revealing a reshaped landscape with significant driver moves and the arrival of a new manufacturer. The confirmation from Red Bull's teams was the final piece of the puzzle, setting the stage for a new era of technical regulations.

Red Bull's New Era and Rookie Debuts

The most prominent change sees Isack Hadjar promoted to a race seat at the senior Red Bull Racing team. The Frenchman will partner the reigning champion, Max Verstappen, forming a new dynamic within the squad. Meanwhile, at the sister Racing Bulls outfit, British rookie Arvid Lindblad will make his highly anticipated F1 debut alongside Liam Lawson.

Cadillac's Grand Entry and Team Transitions

The 2026 season marks a major expansion, with the grid growing to 11 teams. The American automotive giant, Cadillac, will make its debut with an experienced driver pairing. They have secured the services of Grand Prix winners Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas to lead their inaugural campaign.

Furthermore, the Sauber team will complete its transformation into the full Audi works team. The German manufacturer will retain Nico Hülkenberg and continue with Gabriel Bortoleto for its first season under the new identity.

Continuity Across the Established Teams

While some teams have shaken up their line-ups, others are banking on stability. McLaren keeps its coveted duo of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, while Ferrari continues with the superstar partnership of Charles Leclerc and seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton.

Mercedes opts for continuity with George Russell and the promising Andrea Kimi Antonelli. Aston Martin retains the experienced Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll as they begin their new power unit partnership with Honda.

Williams heads into the new regulations with an unchanged line-up of Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon, and Alpine also maintains the status quo by keeping Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto.

The stage is now set for a fascinating 2026 season, blending fresh talent with seasoned winners, all against the backdrop of sweeping new technical rules and the exciting arrival of Cadillac as a constructor.
