2025 F1 Calendar Revealed: Abu Dhabi Finale Set for 7 December
2025 F1 calendar confirmed with Abu Dhabi finale

The 2025 Formula 1 world championship will reach its climax under the lights of the Yas Marina Circuit on Sunday, 7 December, as the full calendar for next season is officially confirmed.

Calendar Shake-Up and Title Fight

While the season retains its 24-race format, significant date shifts have been implemented. The campaign will once again commence in Melbourne, with Albert Park hosting the Australian Grand Prix from 14-16 March. This marks a return to Australia as the season opener for the first time since 2019, following its postponement in 2020 due to the pandemic.

The early-season order undergoes a notable reshuffle due to the observance of Ramadan. Both the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix move to April, creating a demanding triple-header with Japan in early April. China and Japan are brought forward to become the second and third rounds respectively.

This sets the stage for a fierce championship battle, with the McLaren duo of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri expected to continue their challenge against Red Bull's reigning champion, Max Verstappen, as the season builds towards its December finale.

Key Changes and Traditional Stalwarts

Further adjustments see the Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya moved forward three weeks to the end of May. This could be a poignant moment for the venue, as 2025 may be its final year on the calendar before the Spanish Grand Prix moves to a new circuit in Madrid in 2026.

The summer break will now be preceded by the Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring, as Belgium and Hungary swap their traditional slots. The schedule also features a more compact autumn, with only a single week's break between the Singapore and United States Grands Prix in October, eliminating the four-week gap seen in previous years.

Pre-season testing will remain in Bahrain, with three days of running scheduled for 26-28 February at the Sakhir circuit, two weeks before the season's first race.
