The summer transfer scramble is underway, and Scotland's top flight is packed with players set to spark bidding wars. Clubs from England, Europe, and the Middle East are lining up with bulging bank accounts as they look to prise away the Premiership's hottest properties. Motherwell are braced for interest in four key men, while Hibs, Hearts, and Dundee also have prized assets firmly in the shop window after outstanding campaigns. From World Cup stars and Player of the Year winners to Scotland hopefuls and breakout talents, there's no shortage of names attracting admiring glances.
Elijah Just: Motherwell's World Cup Sensation
Elijah Just is one of the most sought-after talents in the Premiership following a stunning debut season in Scotland. The diminutive playmaker, 26, has enjoyed a meteoric rise to stardom since being plucked from Danish outfit Horsens a year ago. Just lit up the top-flight and was voted into the PFA Scotland Team of the Season, as well as being shortlisted for Player of the Year. After an impressive 15 goal contributions, Just exploded onto the World Cup by netting three goals for New Zealand, becoming the first Kiwi to net a brace on the biggest stage. Under contract for another year at Fir Park, Motherwell are likely to demand a record fee for their top star.
Elliot Watt: Midfield Maestro Attracting Turkish Interest
Elliot Watt, 26, was also one of Jens Berthel Askou's star men last season as Motherwell finished fourth in the league and secured a return to European football. The classy midfielder arrived from Burton Albion in 2025, and his sparkling form has seen him pop up on the radar of a number of clubs. Rangers looked closely at him under Danny Rohl, while Turkish side Samsunspor have had two seven-figure bids knocked back by Motherwell. Other clubs are expected to come to the table with offers.
Tawanda Maswanhise: Golden Boot Winner in Demand
Motherwell's Golden Boot winner Maswanhise is unlikely to be short of options this summer. The forward finished as the Premiership's top scorer on 17 goals last season and has been linked with Blackburn, Al Ally, and Celtic in the past year. Belgian giants Anderlecht missed out on a January swoop after failing to meet the Fir Park club's asking price, believed to be in the region of £3m. Maswanhise joined from Leicester City two years ago and has 28 goals in 72 games to his name. Record Sport understands Anderlecht are weighing up a fresh bid for the 23-year-old Zimbabwe international, who still has 12 months left on his contract. Motherwell also hold an option of a further year.
Calum Ward: Record-Breaking Keeper
Keeper Calum Ward's stock has skyrocketed after becoming a Motherwell record-breaker by shattering the club's all-time record for the most clean sheets in a single season. Ward's 20 shutouts, including nine consecutive blanks at home, surpassed Darren Randolph's decade-long record. The 25-year-old's form hasn't gone unnoticed, with League One side Wycombe Wanderers and Polish top-flight club Jagiellonia Bialystok among his admirers. The best keeper in Scotland last term is also said to have sparked interest from Celtic.
Miguel Chaiwa: Hibs' Midfield Gem
Hibs could have a real tough task holding onto Zambia international Miguel Chaiwa this summer. It's believed the Hibees knocked back two sizeable bids for their all-action midfielder in January and have since received a number of enquiries. Chaiwa has proven to be an outstanding capture from Swiss side Young Boys. With Celtic heavily linked, Hibs are adamant the 22-year-old is not for sale. The capital club are in a strong bargaining position, with Chaiwa under contract until 2029, while they also banked a bumper £7m from Kieron Bowie's sale to Hellas Verona. It's believed a fee of around £5m would test Hibs' resolve.
Josh Mulligan: Scotland Hopeful Touted for Exit
Scotland hopeful Josh Mulligan has also been touted for a money-spinning exit. Relegated Premier League trio West Ham, Wolves, and Southampton are all said to be keen on the ex-Dundee star. Mulligan, who was wanted by Rangers before moving to Hibs last year, could soon be offered life-changing money to head south of the border. The versatile 23-year-old has shone in a variety of positions, including right wing and defensive mid, and is under contract for another three years. David Gray won't let his top asset go cheaply, and club chiefs would require a megabucks proposal to get them around the table.
Luke Graham: Dundee's Record Sale
It was always inevitable that Dundee were going to cash in on their outstanding stopper Luke Graham. Record Sport revealed that Stoke City had won the race to land the 22-year-old, who was a standout in the Premiership last season. Portsmouth also had a bid accepted, but Graham set his heart on a move to their English Championship rivals. Graham is in the final year of his contract, and the Dark Blues will bank a club record £2m. The Dees turned down a £1.5m offer from Pompey in January, while Rangers continued to monitor the promising centre-back. Graham's rock-solid displays saw him shortlisted for the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award, while he also earned his first senior Scotland call-up under Steve Clarke.
Claudio Braga: Hearts' PFA Player of the Year
Claudio Braga was a joy to behold in his first season at Tynecastle after arriving from Norwegian side Aalesund. The Portuguese ace netted 14 league goals and 17 in total as Hearts came agonisingly close to winning the title for the first time in 66 years. His stunning form saw him crowned PFA Scotland Player of the Year. However, it remains to be seen if the cult hero will follow Derek McInnes and Lawrence Shankland out the door, with French giants Lyon believed to have identified Braga as a key target. Hearts are said to value the 26-year-old between £8m and £10m, and not a penny less.
Cammy Devlin: Contract Decision Looming
Out-of-contract Cammy Devlin has a new deal on the table from Hearts but is unlikely to make a decision on his future until after the World Cup. The Australian midfielder is currently in North America preparing for the Socceroos' last 32 showdown with Egypt. However, Record Sport understands MLS side Real Salt Lake are leading the chase for his signature, with clubs from Turkey and England also keen. Devlin has made 172 appearances for the Jambos since being signed for a bargain £30,000 from Wellington Phoenix five years ago, scoring eight goals. But at 28, he's now mulling over what could be the biggest deal of his career.
Alexandros Kyziridis: Greek Interest in Hearts Winger
Greece cap Alexandros Kyziridis made a blistering start to his Hearts career before his form faded midway through the campaign. Still, the 25-year-old was another product of the Jamestown Analytics model, and his direct, pacey, and goal-scoring performances quickly made him a fans' favourite in Gorgie. Kyziridis is under contract for another two years but is said to have attracted interest from Olympiacos, PAOK, AEK Athens, and Panathinaikos, who all want to take him back to Greece.
