Mexican wrestler Bocazas II suffered a horrifying leg injury after getting trapped in the ropes mid-flight during a gruesome ring accident.
Chilling footage shows Bocazas II launching himself at rival Brillo Dorado, who was waiting on the apron, before his right leg suddenly snags between two ropes. His leg twists sickeningly as the ropes catch his weight, leaving him dangling helplessly above the canvas and writhing in agony.
Teammates rush to help
Desperate teammates rushed to help, with other fighters eventually untangling the stricken star as Demonio Infernal and fellow wrestlers frantically waved for ringside medics. The mishap occurred at an independent lucha libre show in Tamaulipas, Mexico, during the penultimate weekend of September.
Bocazas II was rushed to hospital for scans following the event. Promoters have not yet revealed the full extent of his injuries or released a formal diagnosis. However, local reports state doctors have run tests and there is a strong chance he will require surgery.
No return timeline yet
No official update has been posted on the wrestler's social media accounts, and there is currently no timeline for when he could return to the ring.
Bocazas II competes on Mexico's independent wrestling circuit rather than for major promotions CMLL or AAA. Independent lucha libre events are commonly staged in smaller arenas, town halls, and on one-off cards organised by local promoters.

It comes after a separate terrifying wrestling nightmare hit the sport in March this year when referee Dallas Edwards was left unconscious and "convulsing on the floor" during a show in Kentucky, US.
The official suffered brain injuries and was rushed to hospital after one wrestler used him as a human shield during a brutal "four corners of chaos" match between local stars Brendan Balling and Tony Evans on Thursday, March 12. The engrossed fighters didn't even realise they had badly injured the ref, continuing to brawl in the ring right next to him.
