La Voix, the RuPaul's Drag Race star competing on Strictly Come Dancing, has been forced to withdraw from this weekend's Blackpool special after suffering an injury. The BBC confirmed that the dancer, partnered with Aljaž Skorjanec, will not perform in the iconic Tower Ballroom episode.
In a statement, the BBC said: 'Due to an injury, La Voix has been advised by doctors to rest and, as a result, will not dance in this weekend's Blackpool specials.' The couple will receive a bye through to week 10, when they are hoped to return to the competition.
La Voix expressed her devastation, saying: 'It is with immense sadness that I have to withdraw... my heart truly breaks knowing I won't be dancing in such an iconic venue.' She added that she and Aljaž had worked incredibly hard and were excited to share their routine.
Fans reacted with disappointment on social media, with many wishing her a speedy recovery. One fan wrote: 'No way, gutted for La Voix. Rest up.' Another said: 'That’s such a shame to miss out this week.'
