Harry Kane Bandage Sparks Injury Concern After Croatia Win

Harry Kane has sparked injury concerns after the England captain was seen wearing a bandage following the Three Lions' impressive World Cup victory over Croatia. The Bayern Munich striker netted twice in the opening match, converting from the penalty spot at the second attempt before powering in a header, yet questions emerged over his condition after the final whistle.

Having left the dressing room in casual attire, Kane was photographed with a bandage wrapped around his lower left leg at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Reports indicate he was walking without difficulty, despite the strapping on his leg.

Tuchel Praises Kane's Leadership

Kane delivered a man-of-the-match performance and reflecting on his display, Thomas Tuchel said: "To see the commitment of our captain, of our No 9 in the extra time, to block a crucial shot with all his body."

"His commitment to buy into a defensive action like this, then you know everything about his performance today. Complete performance, absolute leader. He is all in physically, he is all-in mentally, and he is all in as a full package at the moment. He wants it, he leads by example, we are very happy."

Other Fitness Concerns

Kane is not the sole fitness concern for England following their win over Croatia. Declan Rice was spotted limping after being withdrawn by Tuchel. Kane appeared to be walking normally despite the strapping on his leg.

"Let's see. I hope they're OK," said the England boss. "I would never take Declan out normally. We are exhausted but I loved exhausted players in the dressing room. It's pressure, it's the first game of the tournament."

Rice himself confirmed: "All good. Good as gold. Just what I've been nursing probably in the second half of the season at Arsenal, little neural pains here and there. But I'm all good, all fine, just precaution and I'll be back out there against Ghana."
