Gazza Gets Close to Bikini-Clad Co-Star on Italian I'm A Celebrity

Paul Gascoigne, the former England footballer, has been seen getting close to his bikini-clad co-star Daniela Martani on the Italian version of I'm A Celebrity, L'Isola dei Famosi. The 53-year-old was spotted smearing lotion on the 47-year-old Big Brother star's back as they bonded on a beach in Honduras.

Gascoigne went shirtless in the heat, showing off his tattoos, while Martani wore a teal green bikini. The pair appeared to be getting on well, sharing laughs and chatting on the island. Gascoigne also created a coconut companion, reminiscent of Tom Hanks' character in Castaway.

Martani rose to fame in Italy in 2009 on Grande Fratello (Big Brother) but quit after 22 days. Since then, she has become an outspoken activist, questioning the existence of coronavirus despite over 100,000 deaths in Italy, and refusing to wear a mask on a ferry in August 2020.

It was also reported that Gascoigne had to break up a row between Martani and actress Vera Gemma during quarantine, after Martani accused Gemma of wearing real fur. Gascoigne passed mental and physical tests before joining the show, which has already amused Italian viewers with his attempts at speaking Italian.
