Derby County centre forward Henrik Meister was stretchered off the pitch after appearing to go down off the ball during the Rams' 12:30 game against Birmingham.
The 22-year-old Danish striker, who is at Derby on loan from Pisa, was reportedly treated for around seven minutes after going down early in the second half.
Concern at Pride Park
According to journalist Derby Telegraph's Derby County writer Leigh Curtis, Meister was carried off the pitch and down the tunnel. Curtis wrote in a post on X: "Real concern here for Henrik Meister who appeared to go down on his own with nobody near him. Medical staff are on and stretcher has been called for. He's being carried down the tunnel."
Multiple reports describe a "silence" around Pride Park following the worrying incident, with one fan saying: "I haven't heard a football stadium this quiet in a long time due to a player injury. Really worrying whatever happened to Henrik Meister. Hope it's nothing that will keep him out for an extended period of time."
Club response
Derby County have not as of yet issued an update, although a post on their X read after incident: "A lengthy delay at the start of the half as Meister goes down off the ball and is stretchered from the field. We're all with you, Henrik."
