Arsenal will be without forwards Julian Álvarez and Gabriel Martinelli for several months after both players sustained injuries during the victory over Brighton, the club has confirmed.
Injury details
Álvarez, who joined from Atlético Madrid in the summer, suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of the match. Martinelli, meanwhile, sustained a knee injury in the second half.
The club said both players will undergo a period of rehabilitation and are expected to return after the November international break.
Impact on squad
Their absence leaves manager Mikel Arteta with limited attacking options for the coming weeks, with Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard among the fit forwards available.
Arsenal’s next Premier League fixture is away to Tottenham on September 14.
