Gibbs-White injury doubt for Forest ahead of Arsenal clash
Gibbs-White injury doubt for Forest ahead of Arsenal clash

Morgan Gibbs-White is a doubt for Nottingham Forest’s Premier League clash with Arsenal after picking up an injury against Crystal Palace.

Gibbs-White has played every minute of the Premier League season so far for Oliver Glasner, including last weekend’s 3-1 defeat to Palace. Forest are seeking to get back to winning ways this Sunday, but face a tricky task up against defending champions Arsenal.

Glasner confirms Gibbs-White doubt

And their task may well have got that bit tougher after Glasner revealed that Gibbs-White is a major doubt for the fixture, having not trained with the squad all week.

‘Morgan Gibbs-White is doubtful,’ the Forest boss confirmed in his pre-match press conference. ‘He couldn’t train the entire week with us, but it looks like he can join tomorrow’s session, and he had an individual session today with our rehab coaches.

‘He suffered a minor muscle injury at Palace, so we have to see how he reacts today and how he deals with tomorrow’s session. Then I will take the final decision.’

Savona and Jesus ruled out

Elsewhere, Glasner confirmed that Nicolo Savona and Igor Jesus will miss the game, but is hopeful that Nikola Milenkovic could feature in the matchday squad after missing Forest’s last three matches.

‘Savona will still miss the game, and Igor (Jesus) as well.

‘Milenkovic trained for the first time today, so we will see how he reacts.

‘He could be in the matchday squad, but let’s see because he has been out for several weeks.’

Forest have won just one of their opening six games under Glasner to start the season and currently sit 15th in the league table.
