England Fans Head to Miami After Mexico Win for Norway Quarterfinal

England fans have woken up in Mexico City still celebrating one of the most magical games in the country's football history. After a sensational performance by Thomas Tuchel's heroic ten men against Mexico in the World Cup Round of 16, supporters are now heading to Miami for the quarterfinal showdown with Norway.

Fans on the Move

Some fans were already at the airport for the 6:50am AeroMexico direct flight to Miami, ready for the next adventure on Saturday. Others flew back to England for work but plan to return to Miami on Friday. The Three Lions supporters are still taking in the enormity of the win, with many calling it their "best game ever," though older fans compared it to the 5-1 victory over Germany in Munich in 2001.

Fan Reactions

Superfan Gary Taylor, who attended the match with girlfriend Jo Lewis, said: "Fair play to the Mexico fans, they were great in defeat." Gary and Jo had a harrowing experience at the opening ceremony in Mexico City last month due to a crowd crush, but this time was different. "What a match - that ranks in my top three games of all-time. It doesn't beat Germany away in 2001 and the 2002 World Cup against Argentina, but it was just fantastic. It was a real privilege to be here," Gary added.

Tony Incenzo, who has visited every non-league ground in the National League pyramid—more than 2,500 grounds—said: "I've been watching the World Cup since 1970 and that was one of the best matches I've ever seen."

Ticket Scramble

The scramble for tickets is underway. On the official FIFA resale site, one ticket was available at £7,000. On Seatgeek, prices range from £2,200 to £3,000, with one cheeky seller listing a ticket for £5.6 million. Businessman Dan Fellows, 37, originally from Wolverhampton but now living in Houston, Texas, has followed England across the country this summer. He already has tickets for the semi-final and final but needs a quarter-final ticket. He said: "A World Cup quarter-final in Miami — it doesn't get much better than that. I've been to nearly every England game this tournament, and I've already got my tickets for the semi and the final. Now I just need one for Saturday, but I'm pretty confident I'll get one."

Miami Bound

Thousands of England fans are descending on Miami from the UK, while many have been in Florida using it as a base to watch games on big screens. The match will be played at Miami Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins NFL team, which has a capacity of 64,000 fans. England faces Norway, led by Manchester City's Erling Haaland, and a large contingent of Norwegian fans known for their rowing routine are expected.
