The annual Brambles cricket match took place on a waterlogged pitch in the Solent, as members of the Royal Southern Yacht Club and the Island Sailing Club faced off on the Bramble Bank sandbank at low tide.
The fixture, a seasonal highlight, saw players making light of conditions that seemed tailor-made for ducks. Batters went fishing for runs with hook shots, while bowlers might have been tempted to try a flipper or two in their attempts to prise out opponents.
