Youri Tielemans will have to wait for his Manchester United debut after being omitted from the squad for the pre-season friendly against Atletico Madrid. The Belgian completed a £35m move from Aston Villa earlier this summer and has only just joined up with his new team-mates at Carrington following a break after the World Cup.
The midfielder has not travelled with the side to Stockholm for United's third friendly of the summer, which takes place at Strawberry Arena on August 1 with kick-off at 2pm BST.
Carrick keeps changes limited
Manager Michael Carrick has avoided making sweeping alterations compared with the previous friendlies against Wrexham and Rosenborg. The defence is expected to be the first-choice back four, featuring Leny Yoro, Harry Maguire, Ayden Heaven and Luke Shaw, all of whom start.
Mason Mount and Andrey Santos anchor the midfield, with Shea Lacey continuing as the number 10. Bryan Mbeumo and Patrick Dorgu start on the flanks, while Joshua Zirkzee is not in the starting lineup.
Young talent on the bench
Ethan Williams and Harry Amass are among the substitutes, aiming to follow up on their goalscoring cameos in the Rosenborg match.
