England Fans Slam £12.50 Pints at World Cup Warm-Up Match

England supporters attending the World Cup warm-up match against New Zealand in Tampa, Florida, were left shocked by the price of drinks at Raymond James Stadium. A standard pint cost £12.50, while a premium large beer was priced at $18 (approximately £13.50). A single hard seltzer set fans back $20.50, more than £15.

One fan shared a photograph of the bar menu on social media, sparking outrage among supporters. Another commented: "It probably doesn’t include tax and the HUGE tip they will want on top…." An American observer noted that while price gouging is common at US sporting events, these prices were "beyond what even I'd expect."

The Three Lions went on to win the match 1-0. England will play its first World Cup group match against Croatia on June 17 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, which has a capacity of 80,000 spectators.
